General Show Information
2010 is a year of celebration as the Sam Davis Home welcomes the 200th birthday of the historic home’s original structure. This historic house has been a home to many members of the Davis family and now is home to beautifully restored and originally crafted quilts in this year’s “Home Sweet Home” Quilt Show.
Home is where the heart is….. Home is where your History begins….. There is no place like home…… Home is where a thing is usually found, or was first found, or where it is naturally abundant; a habitat; one’s native land; where ones ancestors dwelled;…. Home is your place or mine……..Home is many different things and feelings to many different people.

We are excited to announce that we are celebrating the Spirit of the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon. We are having an entry category, "In the Spirit of Sisters" this year. For more information on the Sisters Quilt Show, please visit http://www.sistersoutdoorquiltshow.org/. We hope you will consider entering one of your quilts in this category here in Tennessee!
NEW ADDITION!!! We are proud to announce that there will be a National Quilt Appraiser available to give appraisals on your Quilts during the Show! Lisa Erlandson, a AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles, will be available on Friday and Saturday only, between the hours of 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. She will be taking 30 minute appointments. Appraisals are $40 per quilt and each quilt needs its own appointment (30 minute time slot). If you would like to have one (or more) of your quilts appraised, please fill out the contact form below and request a time. You will receive a confirmation email if your timeslot has been approved. Hurry and submit your request, the slots are filling up fast!

Volunteer at the Quilt Show!
Tennessee IS the Volunteer State!
It takes volunteers to make the Sam Davis Quilt Show happen. Would you be able to help with our volunteer needs? Volunteers have free admission to the Quilt Show and lunch provided on the days they work. Everything is set-up to make your volunteer experience something you will want to repeat! Sign up quickly to mkae sure you get to fill one of our volunteer spots!
To sign up to volunteer, you can submit the following information one of two ways - by contacting the Director of the Sam Davis Home at (615) 459-2341 or director@samdavishome.org or by hitting the contact button at the bottom of this page. Local Area Info for Quilters
Attendees should call the hotel of their choice from the list below to make their reservation-ask for the "Home Sweet Home" Quilt Show block. The reservations must be made by Wednesday, September 1, 2010—after that time the blocks will be dropped. However, in order to get a specific hotel, it would be a good idea to make reservations as soon as possible, as the blocked rooms will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.
