Wedding and Event Rental

The Historic Sam Davis Home, located along the banks of Stewart's creek in Smyrna, is the perfect place for your unique wedding or reception. The cedar-lined driveway sets the mood for a calmer, more tranquil pace and the more than 160 acres of the original plantation offers several locations for your outdoor wedding. Sites are offered in front of the historic house and by the creek with plenty of space for tents nearby.

The Sam Davis Home welcomes your interest in renting our site for your special event. Call and schedule a time to come by and visit the site. We are open year-round and welcome the opportunity to host your special day.

Wedding Packages

1. DAFFODIL PACKAGE
   This package is ideal for small groups consisting of 75 guests or less. Your event will take place in the Creek House which includes three restrooms, a full kitchen, a working fireplace as well as an outdoor deck overlooking Stewart’s Creek. Eight round tables (60” diameter) and fifty chairs are included with the rental. The Daffodil Package is available Monday—Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
   

   Rental Fee: $260
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $150 required to reserve date.
   

2. HONEYSUCKLE PACKAGE
   This package combines the convenience of the Creek House and its amenities with the picturesque beauty of the Creekside Meadow. The charm of the tree lined Meadow is increased by the tranquil sounds and scenic views provided by Stewart’s Creek. The Creek House amenities include a full kitchen, three restrooms, a working fireplace, and an outside deck. The rental also includes eight round tables (60” diameter) with fifty chairs for indoor and deck use only. Chairs, tables, and tents are not provided for the outdoor location of the Meadow. The Honeysuckle Package will accommodate up to 250 people. Available Monday—Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

   Rental Fee: $575
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $200 required to reserve date.
   

3. IRIS PACKAGE
   This package is ideal for the couple wanting to combine rustic charm with modern convenience. The 800 square foot indoor location with modern restrooms combined with the 1,600 square foot covered veranda will accommodate up to 250 people. The Iris Package includes access to the kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and sink. Full kitchen facilities are available in the nearby Creek House for an additional charge. Please inquire with the Special Events Coordinator for a price listing. Available Monday—Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

   Rental Fee: $625
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $300 required to reserve date.
   

4. MAGNOLIA PACKAGE
   This wedding package offers a step back in time. Marry your true love on the front porch or the historic front yard of the antebellum Davis Home. Receptions can be held in the back yard with tent rented separately or in the Visitor Center which includes 800 square feet indoors and 1,600 square foot covered veranda. The Magnolia Package is available Monday—Sunday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Set up may be scheduled in advance with the Special Events Coordinator for as early as 10 a.m. This package will accommodate up to 300 guests.

   Rental Fee: $850
   Refundable deposit of $300 required to reserve date. 

Corporate & Party Packages

1. HENRY KING PACKAGE
   Named for famed movie director and Davis relative, Henry King, this package features a meeting space with theater-style seating for 35 people. State of the art electronics are available including DVD, VCR, and Power Point capabilities. Podium and speaker chairs are provided by the Sam Davis Home. Neither food nor beverages are permitted in this area. This Henry King Package may be combined with use of the Lobby at an additional charge if refreshments are required. This package is available Monday—Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

   Rental Fee: $60 administrative charge plus $60 per hour.
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $150 required to reserve date.
   

2. CREEKSIDE PACKAGE
   The Creek House is perfectly suited for small business meetings and/or dinner parties. The Creekside Package can accommodate up to 75 guests. An outside deck overlooking Stewart’s Creek adds to the charm of this wonderful package. The Creek House offers privacy with the convenience of a full kitchen and three restrooms. Indoor use of the eight round tables (60” diameter) and 50 chairs is included in the rental fee. Available Monday—Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

   Rental Fee: $200 all day, or $40 per hour for the first four hours. Refundable security/damage deposit of $100 required to reserve date.
   

3. DIXIE PACKAGE
   Full windows overlooking Stewart’s Creek invite your guests to relax and enjoy themselves in the Sam Davis Home Visitor Center. This package includes a 400 square foot Conference Room that can seat 60 people auditorium style or 50 people at tables. Also includes 400 square foot Lobby area for networking/refreshment area. The entire area will hold up to 100 people for receptions. Included is access to the kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and sink. The Dixie Package is available Monday—Saturday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

   Rental Fee: $290
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $150 required to reserve date.

4. PEARL PACKAGE
   This package combines the indoor facilities available in the Visitor Center with a 1,600 square foot covered veranda for a variety of events. Included is access to the kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and sink. Full kitchen facilities are available in the nearby Creek House for an additional charge. Please see the Special Events Coordinator for a price listing. The Pearl Package will accommodate up to 250 guests. Available Monday—Sunday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

   Rental Fee: $630
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $350 required to reserve date.

5. ANTEBELLUM PACKAGE
   This package combines the indoor facilities available in the Visitor Center with a 1,600 square foot covered veranda for a variety of events. Also included are the grounds of the Sam Davis Historic Site, the parking lots, the Creek House, and the Creek House Meadow. Access to full kitchen facilities is included in the rental fee and available in the Creek House. The Antebellum Package is available Monday – Sunday. Please inquire with the Special Events Coordinator for available dates and times.

   Rental Fee: $1,725
   Refundable security/damage deposit of $350 required to reserve date.

Additional Information

Included with the Creek House rental are eight (8) 60" round tables as well as approximately fifty (50) chairs. The large antique table must remain in the large room of the Creek House. The renters are responsible for clean up of the Creek House and Grounds after rentals, failure to do so would result in loss of deposit. The renters are responsible for the rental of tents, tables, chairs, and etc. that may be associated with a Grounds rental.

Catering

The Sam Davis Home does not cater events. The Creek House is equipped with a full kitchen to assist with your catering needs. We can provide you with a list of local caterers if necessary.
