The Historic Sam Davis Home & Plantation offers many picturesque settings for your wedding, party, or event. Sitting on 168 acres, the Historic Home makes the perfect backdrop for any wedding ceremony. With enough space to accommodate your guests, a brick aisle-way, and a large porch that serves as a perfect altar, the home is our most popular ceremony location. There is little need to decorate the already beautiful area, making it easy for set up and clean up. A few simple personal touches can make it ideal for your special day.

The Backyard

The Backyard of the Historic Home makes for a peaceful and secluded spot for your ceremony or reception. The large magnolia and maple trees shade the area and provide a canopy for dancing and socializing. The gravel area is flat and open enough to accommodate large tents, or can be left as is for an evening under the stars. Picnic tables can add a rustic element and extra seating, or can be moved to accommodate other tables and chairs.

The White Barn

For those looking to add a rustic element to their special occasion, our tin-roof White Barn creates a beautiful backdrop for any wedding. This area is ideal for elopements or small wedding ceremonies.

The Veranda

If you are looking for a covered space for your occasion, the veranda, attached to the visitor center, provides the feel of a wrap around porch overlooking the backyard. Normally filled with rocking chairs, the space can serve as a space for your guests during your reception. The length of the veranda has ceiling fans and lights, and can accommodate anywhere from 50-100 guests, depending on the type of tables used.
