All SDMA members are invited to come onsite for the annual membership meeting. Hear about all of the latest happenings, cast your vote for the slated officers, and visit the historic house with the Curator to get an update on the current restoration project.
Site Closed on observance of Memorial Day
This is our annual Days on the Farm living history Event. Open to the public and for pre-booked school groups. Visit different stations around the grounds to experience 19th century life on the farm. Chat with the longhunter, learn all about curing meat at the smokehouse, visit the museum, tour the historic house and so much more.
*This special event includes touring the historic house, The site will close at 1pm
No guided tours will be offered today due to maintenance onsite. Guided tours will resume tomorrow Wednesday February 11th
Winter Closure will be January 1-31. The museum will remain closed to the public until tours resume on February 2. The winter closure allows staff to deep clean public spaces and complete tasks that are not possible during normal operating hours. A new phase of restoration on the historic house will also begin this month. The Administration offices will remain open for business and scheduled special events and programs such as Toddler Tuesday will continue as planned.

The 5th Annual Sam Davis Home Car Show hosted by the Mid-Tenn Hodders will take place today from 12:00-4pm. Registration is from 9am-12. Spectators are FREE.
Guided tours of the historic house will still be offered at 10:30, 12:00, 1:30 & 3:00
During this special event the house and grounds tours will only be available from 9am- 1pm. Only the first floor of the historic house is open for touring during this special event. Regular guided house tours will resume on Saturday September 6th.
This is sure to be a great day full of fun for the whole family! Storytellers will compete for cash prizes, food, vendors and so much fun. Bring your lawn chair and sit back and enjoy the beautiful historic grounds while you hear some great storytellers weave their magic tales.

This tour is for adults only and tickets should be purchased online in advance as space is limited
All members are welcome to join us on the Veranda and hear all about the happenings and plans for the upcoming year and cast your ballot in the Board election. Light refreshments will be served.

The site will be closed to the public as our staff participates in Tennessee Museum Advocacy Day on the Hill with our Legislators in downtown Nashville.
